About Candid Photography
Candid photography is photography that focuses on spontaneity rather than technique, on the immersion of a camera within events rather than focusing on setting up a staged situation or on preparing a lengthy camera setup.
Candid photography is best described as un-posed and unplanned, immediate and unobtrusive. This is in contrast to classic photography, which includes aspects such as carefully staged portrait photography, landscape photography or object photography. Candid photography catches moments of life from immersion in it.
Candid photography is opposite to the stalking involved in animal photography, sports photography or photographic journalistic intrusion, which all have a focus on getting distant objects photographed, e.g. by using telephoto lenses. Candid photography's setup includes a photographer who is there with the "subjects" to be photographed, close, and not hidden. People photographed on candid shots either ignore or accept the close presence of the photographer's camera without posing.
The events documented are often private, they involve people in close relation to something they do, or they involve people's relation to each other. Candids are the kinds of pictures taken at children's birthday parties and on Christmas morning, opening the presents; the pictures a wedding photographer takes at the reception, of people dancing, eating, and socializing with other guests.

Important Announcements
Dear ALL,
Happy V-day.(specially for ladies) ha ha..
1. WALL PICTUREs:-
I have printed the pictures for the wall. Please, those who have dropped pictures for wall, prepare some notes and photo information for the picture. You can be creative as you like. For next week I have pics of Slamet and Indra. if anybody before them in the list want to share the pictures, please let me know.
2. NEXT MEETING topic:-
We will do very basics of photography including advice giving sessions for those who wants to buy new camera or upgrade their gears. At least 4 members suggested me that our previous meetings were difficult to understand specially for those who are beginners and those who haven’t used SLRs. In next meeting, we can help the beginners to know their camera better. We have CANON, NIKON, OLYMUS, SONY users in our group so I think we can give advices to many beginners. If you have suggestion for contents for next meeting, please feel free to share them anytime. They are most welcomed. The next meeting is dedicated to photography lovers who are beginners(have a SLR but don’t know much about settings) or want to know more about the photography equipments.
3. EVENTS:-
We have series of events coming up starting from today. If you have time, please go around and try to shot. If you feel alone & want to go in group, don’t hesitate to email to all members. I hope there will be bunch of us ready to go. If there are events that you know, just feel free to share with other members. And get ready with your gears.
4. BLOG photo:-
One thing I forgot to mention in last email is that, when you take a picture of an unknown person, please ask his/her permission to use it for the blog. you can establish a communication with local people and make new frens when you do this.
I hope the you’ll enjoy the weekends making good pictures.
Best Regards,
BAJRACHARYA Ashok
